Billings Clinic Broadwater announces expansion
Townsend, MT - Billings Clinic Broadwater is excited to announce that discussions with the City regarding remodel and expansion projects are progressing. In order to accommodate growth in patient volumes, one element of the expansion is growing our ambulatory clinic space. The expansion will help Broadwater Billings Clinic increase services in the community and provide specialty care that is not currently available locally. This portion of the project will be funded by Billings Clinic.
The other expansion project includes a redesign and remodel of our entrance to allow for more appropriate and safe public access to our clinic space with the goal of limiting potential exposure for COVID-19 in our inpatient facility. This portion of the construction will be funded by CARES Act allocation. The CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security) is a relief and assistance program, piloted by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Overall, the two-story expansion project will increase square footage to the northside of the building. The projects will improve infection control and isolation measures by expanding main entrances, providing better access to a clinic on the first floor of the building. Also included is the expansion of emergency patient rooms and addition of rehab therapy space to accommodate safe social distancing.
Demolition and site preparation could begin as soon as next week, with an estimated completion time of late summer.
