Jacob Corpron, MD

Jacob Corpron, MD - Billings Clinic Psychiatry Resident

Originally from Kalispell, MT, Jacob decided to see the world so joined the United States Air Force after finishing high school. His USAF experiences included deployments to South America and Afghanistan. After serving out his 4-year enlistment, during which he was awarded the Air Force Achievement Medal, Jacob studied neuroscience at Montana State University, Bozeman and did bench research in the area of cell biology as a Robert E. McNair Scholar. Upon gaining his B.S. Jacob entered Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in Portland, OR where he continued to participate in research. During his time in medical school he was awarded a Montana WICHE Scholarship and spent his extracurricular time volunteering for a variety of civil society organizations and projects. An important part of Jacob’s decision to pursue psychiatry training is his connection with the patient population, especially the economically disadvantaged and veterans, both populations of which he is a part. Like any proper child of Montana, Jacob enjoys multiple outdoor hobbies but you can occasionally find him indoors reading, fostering animals, and playing guitar.
