Philip Munoz, DO
Phillip Munoz is from Gig Harbor, Washington. He attended the University of Washington and received his undergraduate degree in finance. He went on to volunteer at Franciscan Hospice and worked for a family practice in Tacoma, Washington for 8 years before deciding to go back to medical school. He went to Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Washington for medical school. In medical school, he was diagnosed with cancer and had his first daughter. Through his challenges, he decided to lean into his faith and continue pursuing his vision of helping build healthier and more compassionate communities. His family was excited to be a part of Billings Clinic Psychiatry Residency, especially because his wife's family is from Livingston, Montana. Some of Phil's areas of interest in psychiatry are ECT, TMS, spiritual psychiatry, metabolic health, and the microbiome. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, watching the Seattle Seahawks, hiking, paddle boarding, dancing to electronic dance music, and pursuing adventures outdoors.
