Geriatric primary care: 

We offer primary care for the older adult.  This includes office visits, health screening, and care for the chronic conditions you may have – with an emphasis on your stage in life.

Geriatric Assessment Program:

The goal of the program is to evaluate and assess cognitive, emotional, and functional capabilities. It is a comprehensive evaluation which includes a detailed history, thorough exam, and coordination with the family and primary care provider.  The assessment includes screening for geriatric syndromes such as falls, gait impairment, sleep problems, incontinence, depression, dementia, frailty, malnutrition, and behavioral problems which occur with some of these syndromes. We can connect patients and families with community resources to help meet the needs and goals of our patients. As well, we can provide helpful suggestions for handling many of the problems faced by the patient, their family, and caregivers.

Home Visit Program:

We care where you are. The Billings Clinic geriatric team is taking this a step further by providing primary care services to home-bound adults in their home setting. We also see individuals who, following a recent hospitalization, are at high risk for complications. Our goals are to reduce emergency room and hospital visits, improve patient outcomes through acute and chronic symptom and self-management skill development, address medical and non-medical gaps in care needs, and assist with care coordination.
